Kids Camp - Only 2 Weeks Away
A four-week series of Sunday morning classes is headed our way.  Starting the Sunday after Easter, 4/15, and running through 5/6, all kids will be able to join in on a collection of fun elective style classes.  The courses will include:  cooking, babysitting certification, sports, dancing, and missions themed crafts.  There will be NO charge to participate!  Each class will be held from 9:00 to 9:45 in rooms or outdoor spaces through out our location.  And, parents will be able to relax and visit in the adult/paren...

Generous members of Emmaus have contributed to our Camp Scholarship Fund in order to enable the children and youth of Emmaus to benefit from Christian summer camp experiences. Family Experience - Extending the Lesson
Wondering how to help your children extend the lesson from children's chapel at Emmaus Church in Lincoln, CA on Sunday morning?  Try these: Every night this week focus on one family member. At dinner, have each family member share with that person what purpose he/she thinks God has given that specific family member. Eat dinner together and talk about the four-fold pattern: Took, Blessed, Broke, Gave. Invite important friends over for dinner. Enjoy fellowship with one another and pray for one another.

10/13 Weekly Studies Begin
The weekly 10/13 studies will resume THIS Wednesday, 2/1, at 6:30, at the Alves home (808 Donau Ct.). The format will include studying passages from the Bible and relating the content to our current life experiences. Guys and girls are invited to join in this week as we brainstorm the topics and plans for the 10 week session. We are looking for a co-pilot to help guide the guys through their discussion time. Family Bowling Night
Come bowl with Emmaus Church Community on Wednesday, January 18th.  The whole family is invited to another round of bowling fun. $5 per person will cover 2 hours of bowling, shoes, slice of pizza, and soda. That sounds like a pretty amazing 2 hours.  An onsite restaurant will be available for additional munchies! Christmas Light Walk in Rocklin
Join us for a walk through the Rocklin Pebble Creek street of lights at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday the 22nd. We’ll meet at the Sunset park & ride lot on the corner of Sunset and Pebble Creek. Focus on Thankful - Focus on Jesus
While the adults covered the topic of The Thankful Have More Time, our chapel lesson paralleled with “Focus on Thankful. Focus on Jesus.” We centered our lesson on Genesis 28:16, “Surely the LORD is in this place and I was not aware of it." To expand on this point, we discussed that just like air, God is around us even when we don’t see Him. We talked about what we can do to focus and be aware. When Things Fall Apart with Emmaus Kids
The Emmaus Kids chapel lesson from Sunday followed the theme of being thankful even when things feel like they are falling apart. We revisited 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “in all things give thanks; for this is God's plan for you in Christ Jesus.” To expand on this point, we discussed the story of Job. Just like in Job, when it feels like there is nothing to be thankful for, we are to still give thanks to God, for God can take what feels broken and hopeless and make it beautiful.
