All are welcome to attend these classes at the HUB. Nate will teach on Christianity and Christians at the next class. Bring a little food to share, we will start at 5pm.

The weekly 10/13 studies will resume THIS Wednesday, 2/1, at 6:30, at the Alves home (808 Donau Ct.). The format will include studying passages from the Bible and relating the content to our current life experiences. Guys and girls are invited to join in this week as we brainstorm the topics and plans for the 10 week session.
We are looking for a co-pilot to help guide the guys through their discussion time. If you are a man who loves God and is interested in contributing to the spiritual formation of a brilliant group of young men, we need y...

This Sunday, January 22nd immediately following the morning gathering at Emmaus Church in Lincoln, CA, we will have our annual Community Meeting at Foskett Ranch Elementary School. Come bowl with Emmaus Church Community on Wednesday, January 18th. The whole family is invited to another round of bowling fun. $5 per person will cover 2 hours of bowling, shoes, slice of pizza, and soda. That sounds like a pretty amazing 2 hours. An onsite restaurant will be available for additional munchies! Come to AMF Rocklin Lanes at 2325 Sierra Meadows Dr. from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18th.
That's next Wednesday. Yes, that means you only have a week to prepare.

Join us for a walk through the Rocklin Pebble Creek street of lights at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday the 22nd. We’ll meet at the Sunset park & ride lot on the corner of Sunset and Pebble Creek. After our stroll, Alex Frankel has invited everyone over to her home for snacks and fellowship at 6130 Preston Cir Rocklin.

At Emmaus Church in Lincoln, CA, we are sharing life and discovering Jesus together. We desire to be a transformational community of compassion. We are a family.
Every year during Advent, we have a Compassion Plan to support a few groups of people for the following year. We ask God to show us what groups of people we need to rally around and support with our resources and time in the new year.
For 2012, we will be supporting the following groups through giving:
Single parents
Widows
Orphans (Adoption Fund)

It’s remarkable: the power of gratitude. Being thankful – full of thanks – can change just about anything. From the way we eat, to the way we work, to the way we die, so much of life comes down to this question, “Are you thankful?”
Try this: go through the day thanking everyone you talk to for something.
Or try this: before you fall asleep, thank God for 10 things.
In her book, One Thousand Gifts, Ann Voscamp argues eloquently that grace leads to gratitude and gratitude leads to joy.
God is graceful.
But I’m not often joyful.
