Our mission at Emmaus Kids is to partner with families in helping children to experience the great love of God, and express their love back to Him through: transformation (expressing love to God through worship,) community (loving relationships with God's people,) and compassion (spreading God's love throughout the world.) We believe that spiritual formation takes place primarily in the home, so our work is in shepherding whole families to fall in love with Jesus.

Nursery: Ages 6mos-3yrs/potty trained

Our nursery is a safe space for our littlest children to experience God’s love through play and nurturing relationships with our volunteers. Each parent of a nursery child receives a pager, allowing constant communication regarding the child’s needs.

 

Preschool: Ages 2yrs/potty trained-4yrs

In our preschool space, children just learning to speak are taught the language of God through simple, interactive Bible stories, games and activities. Children must be potty trained to attend the preschool class.

 

Kindergarten - 1^st Grade: Ages 4-7yrs

2^nd - 5^th Grade: Ages 7-11yrs

In our grade school spaces, children are taught the same truth as their parents are learning in the main worship gathering. Our kids’ lessons are written every week to follow the pastor’s sermon, allowing the whole family to learn the same truth at the same time. It is our hope that this provides opportunities for further discussion and discipleship at home throughout the week. Our grade school age kids are also brought in to join the main worship gathering at the Passing of the Peace. Our children are an important and necessary part of our community and it is our privilege to worship and celebrate communion with them.
